Swiss motorway sticker/vignette
In Switzerland, vehicles and trailers pay to use motorways and dual carriageways by buying a motorway sticker or ‘vignette’. The sticker for 2015 costs CHF 40/€40. It is valid until 31 January 2016. Stickers for a day, a week or a month do not exist. Motorway tax stickers are for sale at all manned customs offices at the Swiss border or in the vicinity of the Swiss border, in motorway petrol stations. The motorway sticker must directly be affixed on the inside of the windscreen, before entering the Swiss motorway. It has to be affixed clearly visible from outside.
Notice: usually cars rented in Switzerland are equipped with a motorway sticker. This is not necessarily the case of foreign rental cars.
Parking
During the European Championships, visitors are asked to park in public parking spaces. No agent of road traffic will be in place.
